Of all the things to come across in the chaos of trying to find things around here, I found this ancient preliminary schematic for a solar power system.
Posting it because we all deserve a laugh. :p
Gee, maybe it should be under "Advanced".
(Note lack of inverter fuse and incorrect connection of charge controller to cut-off switch.)

Looks a little light in the panels to me Coot!
I love it. I am amazed at some of my old notes when I go back to them. Just reminds us all that we started at the beginning.
Thanks to the great wealth of knowledge from the likes of you and Niel and Bill and Dave and well you guys know who you are, the rest of us profit.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

That would have been back in the days of panels at $$$$$ per Watt.
Not sure what those batteries were supposed to be or why the notation about T105's beneath; you certainly don't wire a pair of 6 Volts that way to get 12! :p
Pretty sure the "invert" was the Stattpower 600 I still have in the shed. It still works too. :D

And here I thought this thread was going to be about some cool junk you resurrected from the scrap heap! I just found an old Honda 1000 watt genny' and got it running fine simply by cleaning the carb well!

    Yea,

I would like to unwind some stuff. I have a collection of outboard motors dating back to the 1920s! People just kept giving me the old ones until I finally said nor more! (unless it is a really cool one!)
