Beginner Hooking up Solar System

I have a few questions. Here goes...
What is the best connection method for going from MC connector to size 4 wire?
I know that the inline fuse holder will go on the positive so this is not a problem, but I need to know what the correct connector is to hookup the two negative wires?
Should the grounding wire that goes to ground rod be bare or covered? Plasic on or stripped?
Is it all right that all my other grounding wires are stripped coming from components?

Thanks in advance!

    crystal,
most buy small jumper cables with mc4 connectors on them and cut them in half. this allows the connection to the mc4 connectors on the pvs and the other end you are free to make a hard wired connection. to combine the wires there are many ways to go about it and may depend on how many connections need combined, but small bus connections are the easiest. you don't want to cut the connectors off of the pv wires as that could void the warranty on the pvs.

here are a few examples for combining.

For solar power, the return/negative lead should be treated just like it is "hot"... So proper insulation/mounting is very important.

Something like one of these should work (there are also "short versions" too):
