Re: Windtura 750
I have had the complete windtura 500 wind generator for over a year now. They do not sell this anymore because they replaced the 500 with the windtura 750. I am very, very happy with it.
If you want information on only the generator head, I will not be of much help because I have the complete wind generator. My 500 gives around 6-7 amps at 15mph, ~10 amps at 20 mph and ~30 amps at 30 mph. I think the windtura 750 will give even more power.
Good luck with your wind generator project! -

I also own a wN PMA 750w. It does as advertiesd. I am very happy with it. I have it grid tied as well. -
Re: Windtura 750
One quick look at it and I see it's just another version of the "Hornet" using a modified alternator. My experience, and the experience of most others who bought one, is that they're nothing but a toy. Looks real pretty up there spinning in the wind, but when it comes to actually charging any battery, it's basically useless. Like I've reported before, very few were the days when my solar panels didn't out out at least some usable power, while with the wind turbine, few and far between were the days when it out out ANY usable power at all! The exception was during Tropical Storms that come up the East Coast of North America every Fall. And during those storms, the blades screamed like a deranged banchee, threatening to spin off the blades and send them to the North Pole!
It was useless and dangerous. I took it down, gave away the blades and now use the PM alternator on my micro hydro. Been going 3 years now and actually producing 4 Kwh / day. My advice, based on my personal experience? Put your money on solar. Forget this wind turbine! I learned the hard way and believe me, I'm far from the only one who got sucked in by hugely overinflated power ratings, verging on what brings to mind the word fraud!
Based on my experience, and the experience of others, I can only suspect that the two posters who give such glowing reports, either sell them, or work for the company who puts the kits together.
But it's your money, do what you want, but never say you were not warned. -

waynefromnscanada,
You are incorrect. The Windtura 750 is NOT a piece of crap car alternator. I think you need to verify this for yourself because what you are saying is wrong:

I purchased a modified car alternator before I got the Windtura 500. The car alternator was a piece of $#%@. 250 worthless watts in 30 mph winds! I got dooped on that one but I am happy with my Windtura. It does what they claim and I have no complaints. I wish I had did my homework the first time and I would have never got that darn car alternator!
You are right about solar also. I agree solar is a real deal right now but if you have wind and especially if you have wind when there is no sun, then a wind turbine can sure help that battery bank:D I have 300 Watts of solar now running in combination with my wind turbine. -
