I need new panels, and some advice

I am trading in my $10.00 a watt panels for some $2.50 per watt new ones.

Well that is what they cost in 1985 dollars.

Seriously, I have am replacing 12 ARCO 55s, mounted on a Zome Works tracker, this gives me a mounting area of 2032 MM X 1219 MM.

I am, wanting as much power as I can find, "single/mono crystal only, that will fit this area, either 2 or 4 panels.

The cool thing is I can sell these, and get enough to buy one new panel.

    For our American friends who don't do the metric thing, that's 80 inches by 48 inches. :roll:

    That's a tad awkward for most panels are about 762 mm (30") by 1524 (60").
    The big ones are more like 1000 mm (40") by 1676 mm (66").

    Any chance of reconfiguring the height-to-width ratio to accommodate?

    well darned if don't and darned if I do, i have gotten used to posting metric in the photo forums.

    The long dim. is defined buy the gas tubes, the short dim is closed by one leg of an angle, could raise the panels up, but my guess is the newer panels will be thicker, and raising to clear the angle will shade the gas tubes, and hinder tracking. Guess I could cut out the angle and turn it over, just thought of that this second, thanks.
