Jack pump/Jensen opinions...experiences

Hi,

I have a chance to buy a used jensen for fairly cheap, but have been unable to find much information on them. Does anyone have experience with these? I just need to pump 350' and would like to eventually use solar...seems like this would work with a small DC motor and appropriate gearing. Not exactly high flow rate, but perhaps potentially very low power. (??). All that I know is that the stuffer box (whatever that is) is broken, but I'm told that the pump worked perfectly for 10+ years until it was replaced by a jet pump. And it does not come with the rod...

Thanks for any anecdotes or experience, horror stories, etc...
