Re: Mixed Panels and Controller Confusion: Advice Needed for Wilderness School
I've never seen my Iota 75 amp charger with IQ4 draw more than 1800 watts to charge my 660A FLA batts. My Honda EN2500 runs it quite nicely (along with a 700 watt toaster and other electronics at the same time). It usually draws in the low teens. You can extrapolate from there. -
Re: Mixed Panels and Controller Confusion: Advice Needed for Wilderness SchoolI still don't thing the IQ-4 module will be of much use for off-grid charging.
Right. Unless you need to EQ the FLAs - then you have to have it.
For the AGMs you don't need it - or even want it, since you can't tell it to *not* EQ.
And EQing would be a pain, since you'd have to plug in the IQ4 and then wait 7 days for it to EQ.
