I'll preface this by saying that most of the time you are better off buying your own panel, they are often better made and only cost a little more. But there are times when it is both cheaper and easier to make your own. For those of you that have done this please read on.....
Has any one used any of the following to make their own panels? dow 6010 vs slygard 184 vs Elastosil 2202 vs EpicResins d9940 encapsulants?
Which did you like the best? If you have not used any below are some links:

http://www.epicresins.com/solarPower-Bonding.asp
The sylgard 184 is about 80 cents a watt, dow 6010 around 40 cents a watt, and d9940 around 20 cents a watt. i am still working on getting pricing on the elastosil.
they are all silicon based encapsulatants, except for the d9940 which is polyurethane based.
If there are any other encapsulants I have missed in my research please let me know as well. (I know there are sheet products like EVA, but I am leaving those out of this discussion since they are much harder to apply)
Thanks!
