    You may want to have an ask over on the Outback forums http://outbackpower.com/forum/?page_id=forum, As far as I understand, they are available now, but "need a little work"

    Joe,

    Several of us regulars -- myself, Maverick, Andrew Welsh (WattPlot guy) -- have them. The biggest issue is that they have no I/O interface that is currently working. Not a problem if you don't want to have anything talk to the Mate 3, but some of us very much like talking to our Mates all day long ...

    The non-I/O features work really nice. The size is a bit big and clunky, but that's one of those "user interface" issues -- can't make a box small if you want to have the "dial" interface and LCD display. My guess is that it's not really designed for inside a nice residential home, but more oriented towards being out in a power shack. It's very heavy, and with few exceptions very robust.
