Breakers AC and DC
System
I have a 20 amp DC rated breaker that came with my Midnight solar E panel. It is currently unused but I would like to use it for another 20 amp AC circuit. My question is will the DC rated breaker safely carry a 20 amp AC load?
Thanks

Re: Breakers AC and DC
You have to look at the part/model number of the breaker and find out its ratings...
In general, DC breakers (contacts) are "heavier duty" than AC breaker contacts--but the only way to know for sure it to look up the device or ask Midnite Solar for the specifications.

If it is a magnetic type, then it will not work.
