Bad Day in PHX

Must be a bad day in PHX. My TED is for the first time showing line voltage below 120 volts. looks like a pretty steady slide since About 11AM. Wonder how far my Inverter will let it go before I get a low AC voltage shutdown.

Try turning off big loads like air conditioner, stove, and see what happens to grid voltage. -

AC is cycling and seems to have little or no effect on the line voltage, I am generating most of my load so the line variations have to be coming from the utility. -
Re: Bad Day in PHX
I am looking at your TED page, it loads up very slowly, btw.
Why is MTU1 reading higher voltage than MTU2 ? MTU1 is your house loads and MTU2 is solar, right? Should'n voltage reading be higher on solar meter? -
Re: Bad Day in PHX
117 VAC used to be normal line... If you get south of 110 VAC or so--then you could be looking at problems for your motors and other devices.
I guess the standard range of good power at the appliance would be 105.5 to 132 VAC.
If you have a Kill-a-Watt meter, what is your line frequency. Sometimes, you may see a 0.1 Hz or more drop during periods of heavy power usage (my KaW meter always reads 59.9 Hz--I assume it is 59.99 Hz but not rounding. My GT inverter always reads 60.0 Hz so far).

Boy I don't know, they are both wired to the same breaker, variations in MTUs I guess -
Re: Bad Day in PHX
Not sure about your inverter, My SMA's drop out around 214 volts or 107 as you are measuring. I have one toy that causes that when I start it.
I noticed at night your inverter draws 7 watts, is that right?
My TED says the same for mine, but the specs claim less than 1 watt. Wondering if the TED just likes 7 watts. -

Re: Bad Day in PHX
Looks like Solar Dave's voltage is back up, must have been a slump due to load in the valley. He still show's 67 KW generated for the day.
I have just gotten my GT3.8 with 20 Trina 230 W panels online in (Testing Mode), generating about 28KW a day. My TED also show about 7 watts at night when offline. Haven't reflashed firmware and tried to calibrate CT's yet. Looks like my inverter CT/MTU shows about .7 Volt higher than line. My line voltage is 244 - 248 since I am right off of the transformer I am alway on the high end. Really liking seening meter count backwards except when AC is on Been 90's to 100's in northern CA lately, not as hot as AZ but still warm.GT3.8 w/4600W Trina 230W, TX5000 w/5000W ET-250W, XW4024 w/1500W ET-250W, 4 L16, 5500W Gen. (never had to use) Yet!!
