California residential rebate reduction

Hi,

I've heard from a few installers that California is days away from hitting the next rebate tier - that would drop the rebate from $2.50/watt to $2.20/watt. I can't find any confirmation or formal announcement from the CEC or PG&E. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,

Dan

Here is a list of California Solar Rebates / Credits (for various utilities).

    DSIRE for US

    DSIRE for California

I don't have any specific knowledge--but, generally, you can sign up for the rebate and the installer will hold the installation (if you want) until the rebate is approved (took mine several months a couple of years ago--would not be surprised if it takes even longer now with the more complex process of today).

Assuming you are correct, parts plus installation plus permits run, roughly, about $10 per Watt... $0.30 reduction is only an ~3% increase in costs...
