Just an FYI:

Surrette Battery seems to have updated their Data Sheets for their RE battery line. Now, all of the capacity ratings are at an SG of 1.280, rather than the previous 1.265.

In an exchange with Surrette Tech, seems that this is really just a clean-up of the older data sheet. "the insustry standard is to rate capacities at 1.280 SG. Surrette RE batteries have always really been rated with an SG of 1.280, BUT, have been shipped with 1.265 electrolyte." And is seems that 1.265 is the correct target SG to look for in determining EOC. !.265 appears to equate to a NOMINAL reduction in capacity of about 5%. There is absolutely NO discernable difference between the old and new data sheets for the 4KS25 (the ones used here) in any of the important specs, like: plate dimensions, dry weight, wet weight, capacity or any other parameter. Appears that only the SG at which the capacity is specified has changed.

That is all, just a possible point of confusion (at least it was for me). Vic
