Outback GT vs FX?

Is there any reason somone interested in off-grid would not buy the GT inverter instead of the FX? It reads like the GT can do everything the FX can do, plus it can do GT if you decide to go in that direction in the future. Any hidden costs or disadvantages of using the GT for off-grid, over the FX or VFX?
Thanks.
Thanks.

the GT will not work with most any generator so you would have no backup power.
