It's a question for a photography workshop i am taking but im not sure what it has to do with photography? something about the light the camera is taking in?

The Sun's "light" is as "intense" as the Sun's "light" is. How much of that light that impinges on any given object is inversely proportional to the square of its distance from the Sun.
Albedo (a reflective attribute) is a factor when attempting to photograph celestial objects.
