buss bar question

i have 2x 1.25" x .25" copper bar that serves as buss bar. it is rated at 500Amps and i plan on hooking up my batteries, charge controller and inverter to it.
if the inverter pulls 500amps and the charge controller generates 500amps... does it mean the buss bar can take another 500amps?
what im asking is does current have direction (vector? - my high school physics is a bit rusty)

Re: buss bar question
think of it as a oversized wire passing its rated 500a. no, it won't take another 500a. -
Re: buss bar question
Yes electricity has a direction - the path of least resistance.
If you were sending 500a to the bus bar, and drawing 500a out at the same time, then the total load on the bar will be 500a.
