Hi is anyone using a Countertop Water Distiller to make water for your FLA battery?  Vevor makes them along with some clones.  There are several others that are more expensive but may last longer.

There hasn't been any discussion on this since 2020, and bottles of Distilled Water has doubled since then.
'Anyone have any experience with them good or bad?
Thanks.

I use an old Kenmore 1 gallon distiller.  It's run as a dump load from my solar/wind system mostly, but sometimes run regularly at reduced electric rates for humidifier water supply (wood heat in the winter).
I had to put a 4 inch computer fan on the top since the original fan died on me.
    works well.

Thanks Ralph.  I was going to question whether a Kenmore would be around, but there are several of them for sale.  Not surprisingly, the Sears Site keys off on Kenmore, but lists the Vevor for sale.

    Hi Hi
I put mine on a timer when on utility power, not just dump loading.  It saves having to clean out the bottom of the "kettle" portion if it goes as far as thermal shutdown.  Usually 7 hours fills the receptacle jug.  As dump load it seldom if ever fills it in a day...depending on season and sun.

That's good advice along with the time estimate.  Thanks again Ralph.
