submersible pump controller

You hear about sub pumps failing because of pumps cycling for too long and pressure tanks and switches failing. I lost a 2 hp Franklin to that. Is there an inline device ,reliable, 240v,that won't let a regular 2 wire submersible pump stay on for too long and prevent it from turning back on too soon, all on its own,??....I have a Grundy 200 right now ,about 5 months old.I want to protect it. It has no controller box which is nice. What do you know about this?

I have recommended cycle stop valves for years. Read up on how they work and why they work, an easy enough concept to understand.

Plenty of information on them on thier website.

There are interval on relays which will turn on for a fixed time and turn off or on delay relays which will turn on after a fixed time interrupting the pump.  These will stay in that state till issue is corrected and power is removed to reset the relay.

I am not experienced in home relay use...dont they need a DC power supply? I would like one that works inline a 240v wire AC......when it senses current it allows full current for say 50 seconds and then shuts off for 20 minutes...is that available?
