Choosing the right Inverter

Hi there,

On a small job. 12 -425 watt Thornova panels (5.1kW) mounted on a tin roof. Wanting a hybrid inverter to sell back excess power. Customer is happy with a 5K inverter so I am thinking of using the Solark 5K 240V. Pricey little beast, but they sure are quick to install in the field.

Trouble is I have limited space to mount equip as the home is pretty close to being a tiny home. So far I have built a shelf above the washer and dryer to mount the Inverter and batts but it going to be tight.

How does one go about choosing 24V or 48V Inverter? I just always go 48V, but now am wondering what is the deciding factors to consider if 24V were to make more sense? Obviously the industry makes 24V equip for good reason.

I guess I am hoping to save the customer some coin and select a quality product that will perform well for years to come.

My wish list is: Around 5K 240V output. Prefer high voltage DC input for ease of wiring up the array in  two strings. All in one units are quick to install! Would be nice to sell back power. 10 year warranty is comforting for a customer. Considering LUX Power products but hesitant at the same time. I would rather make a little less and charge a little more for a reliable product with good support. Customer is a really nice older lady who is trusting me so I really want you get her set up with the best equip possible. Haven't yet used the Schneider SW or Victron, Growatt, or LUX equip yet..... Look forward to making making the best decision possible for this application.

Open to the wisdom that is always avail through this forum. Day 3 on site and still scratching my head a bit yet:)
