And you are in NYC and let a rav4 PHEV sit in the sun for 2 days... how many miles about will it add? just curious... assuming sunny clear days and no tall buildings or trees.

Making it quick--I have to leave soon....

    https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/pvwatts.php

600 Watt, array mounted flat, for NYC, month by month estimated harvest:

Assuming 250 Watt*hours per mile (about the "most efficient" Tesla numbers I have seen--1/2 that for winter? Truck?):

600 Watts * 1.06 hours of sun per day (December) * 0.77 panel+controller losses * 1/250 Watt*hours per mile = 1.96 Miles per day (best case for winter?)
600 WH * 6.17 Hours of sun * 0.77 losses * 1/250 WH per mile = 11.4 miles per day (best case for summer?)
600 WH * 3.96 WH per day year average * 0.77 losses * 1/250 WH per mile = 7.31 miles per day average over 1 year (again, best case assumptions for vehicle efficiency)

There still are questions--There are not a lot of off the self controllers (if any) that can directly take 60 VDC and charge a ~300-400 Volt battery bank...

    Got to go now....
