Mounting on three rails

I am off grid at 10,000 feet and get considerable snow.  I am getting ready to mount 82” x 41” Canadien Solar panels using a flush roof mount.  For extra snow load (and wind) safety, I was considering mounting the panels using three versus two rails.   Can anyone think of any disadvantages that would cause me grief?  Thanks

The only disadvantage is using the roof offgrid. It is the last place you want damage. If it were a barn or not the house fine. You can't clear snow easily on a roof and there is the risk of injury.

Why can't you build a ground mount?  If you do use the roof, you should ask your building department for advice. If you ever sell the house or insure it you will need it to be legal.
