Conext SW4048 stuck in bootloader mode

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across a situation where the unit is stuck in bootloader mode. I have  seen lots of info that indicates I should be be able to load the firmware.

im using combox the inverter is showing yet when I upload the proper firmware it will not show up in the pull down menu. When I connect my main sw4048 the firmware shows up in the drop down. 

Does annyone have insight as to why the firmware would not  show up in the pull down menu? From the videos online I have seen it working , somehow it is not working with my unit.
