Power System Monitor App

I was asked to post this system monitor program. It may work with other makes besides Schneider.

A few years back Schneider came up with a way to hard wire a tablet for a graphic shot of the system that the user does not have to do anything. It is on 24/7.

I have a few older clients that need this. You would have to have Insight, Optics or ? working. Below is a video on how to do this with a Samsung tablet from Eric Bentsen.

I have been wanting to add this setup to my XW pro system.
Is it possible to log in as Admin with a tablet set up this way, and make system changes also?

Yes you can do this! You do have to have Connext home device running! You do not need to have the internet. The store here has it.

I have Insight Facility, I use my laptop to connect to Insight when I need to make configuration changes or system checks, but I like the idea of being able to walk into my power room and monitor the system without pulling out my laptop and logging in.
I have been looking at the price of the Samsung tablet that they recommend in the video, the price is pretty low right now.
Do you use the insight mobile app at all?

I use the mobile app all of the time. About 75 clients that let me/ make me take a peak at their systems😉

You want the tablet as the mobile app is really to monitor and not for configuration. You probably have wifi ?  Schneider has 3 ways to get in, wifi,  wifi station mode, and ethernet cable.  It is all in the user manual BTW.

    Good luck!

I have my Insight facility connected to wifi.
I check Insight Mobile regularly see what my BMS SOC is, how much solar power i am getting and what my loads are. The mobile App is a game changer for me to get a snapshot what is happening in real time.
I am hoping that Schneider is working on a update for Insight Mobile, it would be nice to have a few more features on there.

I’ve worked with some older setups, and the idea of using a hard-wired tablet to display system info continuously is really clever. It could definitely make it easier for clients who need something simple but reliable. I’m curious, though, if there are any specific configurations for the Samsung tablet or any troubleshooting tips if something doesn’t work as expected.

App and video below from Schneider/Samsung a few years back. Pretty bullet proof and do not need the internet.

In theory it should work with any hardware that runs a compliant Internet browser as the Insight hardware is just generating a webpage that you can display on a tablet or computer.

I'll try out our old Ipad and see if it works too, if android tablets work, you'd think the ipad would too.

I’ve set up something similar for a few family members, and it’s been really helpful for them to monitor their systems without needing to constantly check in. I’m in Dublin, and when I installed solar panels Dublin, I also set up a system monitor that keeps track of performance automatically. The whole thing’s been a game-changer, especially with older family members who aren’t as tech-savvy. I think the key is making sure everything’s synced up correctly, like with Insight or Optics, so it runs smoothly without any extra effort.

So optics still running overseas?  Alot of issues here with it. Outback Optics is not on the good list for me.  Insight (schneider) has been solid for many years and I know on wood all the time with all of these companies going out of business.
