MidNite Classic 150 not charging

I set up a new system with an EG4 3000EHV-48 inverter/MPPT charge controller connected to 3 EG4LL 48V batteries. A series string of 8 315W panels is connected to the EG4 unit. I installed a second charge controller, a MidNite Classic 150 which is connected to a series string of 7 older 120W panels. The MidNite controller is paralleled to the batteries in a MidNite Mini DC disconnect. The batteries are charging normally via the EG4 unit, but the MidNite controller shows Resting and will not charge, even though it displays the input from its solar array.
Ideas?

Check your charging parameters - if the battery voltage is too high the Midnite will stay in the resting state.

Thanks. I'm leaning that way too. Maybe the EG4 controller is keeping the batteries at full charge and the MidNite is not needed. I'll do some more checking.

what is the PV input voltage to the Classic when is is not chargine?
What is the state of the Classic,  "Resting'?

    Reason for ressting info here:
    MidNite Solar Help (midniteftp.com)

7 ea 120 watt PVs,  would typically have about 21.5 Voc,  each  you might be running one or two PVs too many on the Classic,

Thanks. The system is not mine, so I'll have to go over to check it out when I get a chance. I had found the Reason for Resting chart in subsequent searching, so I'll definitely check on that.
Good catch! I misspoke when I said 7 120W panels. The customer had 7 panels, but I realized the Voc would be too high, so I only connected 6.
