MX60

Curious and Stumped! What signs would a MX60 show, if it was failing?
I have 1 PV string (72vdc) reading correct voltage. At the outback combiner 15' away on uninterrupted 10ga wire, is only reading 10 vdc. That's across the ground buss and the In terminal to the 15 amp breaker, and the buss bar for all breakers
(no other breakers at this time).
MX60 works with battery status display, reads gen charging, when it is.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

    A little clarification...

Your array should be round 72 Volts Vmp-array in normal operation?

What do you read with a volt meter on the Vpanel-input to the Breaker/Combiner box and on the Vinput-solar connections to the MX60? Do you read 72 Volts with a DMM?

What does the MX60 report on its screen? Sometimes 72 volts (agreeing with the DMM)? And other times it reads 10 VDC while DMM reports 72 volts/10 volts/or what?

    Check for loose connections.

Is that "ground buss' in the combiner, where the PV negatives connect.

Try measuring the PV voltage in the combiner between the PV negative cable, and the PV + bussbar.   I do not know if you have multiple strings of PVs or not,  it is all a mystery, to me.

    Good Luck, Vic

Aloha Vic, Just 1 string totaling 72vdc. More to come.
I think you just gave me a clue? I recently removed some older 12vdc PVs. I haven't cleaned up the old 6ga (tells you how old?) wire yet, they're still connected at Bussbar. And waiting for removal. I only removed the old Positive leads from breakers, hoping to save $.
I may of miscalculated by leaving the old 6 Ga for ground side of the new PVs.?
The problem started when I took the above mentioned PVs down. Something may of loosened? Or, I simply can't use 2 different gauges, 10Ga + and 6Ga-? It worked for 3-4 months.
    I appreciate your response?

I greatly appreciate your input. I had inadvertently loosened the ground buss.
