Midnite Solar DIY series

Looking at the MS DIY series again and am wondering why they dropped the 3548 model? I also noticed they finally have the conduit/breaker boxes available for the DIY series.
I would have asked this on the Midnite forum but was prompted with not a secure site so I backed out?

The midnite forum has been running fine for years.
The security warning is probably that the forum uses http or unencrypted communications. Just don't use your bank account password for the forum and you will be fine.
There is a risk of somebody intercepting your forum ID and password... But usually hackers are not interested in the effort for public information.
Our forum was http for decades, and we had one takeover (don't know how it was done} over 10 years ago... On a different forum software package.
We are now using https (encryption) for the last few years (is free with our forum vendor) as an extra level of security against a future hack.

Yes, I wish the web elves would fix that certificate.  I kind of hate modern browsers cuz it makes people think that you will lose everything including your identity if you go to a web site.

It really should have the certificate.

    Here is the reason ...

"The 5048 is only $100 more or something like that. So there was no reason to continue the 3548"

Thanks boB, I found a 3548 with the breaker box that has my interest. Just want to make sure that model wasn't a problem child.

BTW, Saggys, the MidNite forum is now redirected to HTTPS so you can give it another try.

Just to make things easier for others here, the Midnite forum link:

    https://midniteftp.com/forum/

And the link to boB's Midnite Products home page:

    https://midnitesolar.com/

And, as always, use different passwords for your banking accounts (and other critical accounts) vs other websites...
