Help with off grid inverter pls

Hi all from the UK

I've picked up a second hand mastervolt xs3200 off grid inverter for our solar panels

Trouble is I'm not quite sure it can handle all the panels we've got !

16x 240w~ panels (2 strings of 8 panels) , each string runs about 360 volts

16x 240w = 3840watts . The manual says max power 3500w.

How big of a problem is this ? Am I going to burn the inverter out ? It's only 340w over, & that's if the panels are making full power which they hardly ever do

Thanks all

You will probably be fine as far as the power dissipation goes.

It is typical to over panel by 25% with quality electronics. I do not know that brand.

You live in England that is not suppose to get hot. It has lately in the news this summer, on this side of the pond, but not for long periods.

You are offgrid and the electronics are not typically running constantly at the full output as grid electronics do.

As long as your cold temp voltages are below 600vdc, and your start-up voltages are in the range,  you are good.

    God save the King !

This appears to be a grid tie inverter, not off grid.

2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old  but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric,  460 Ah. 24 volt LiFePo4 battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.

    As I have discovered!

The man on ebay I got it from misadvertised, said it was off grid ( plus I didn't do my research..)

He's offered me a refund thankfully

Thank you for your help both
