Have Schneider Electric XW6848 Pro
Out of the box requires the interface called Gateway for comm paths to the world and upgrades
Have a ComBox that won't work with XW6848 Pro -- that's my experience and what I'm told now.
Now discovering the Modbus and tcp port 502 thru LAN data path(s).
Curious question is:  Since I can talk to ComBox with Modbus, can the Modbus get pushed to an XW6848 inverter ?

Big question.

Depends on what you will do with XWP? Some things will work and somethings may have unspecified results. In other words it would be risky to do modbus with combox. Very risky for Offgrid but if you have the grid, it is your dime! For a little over $300 you could get the Insight home and do things the right way.  Good Luck!

XW pro has always stated that the Conext Gateway Home model or Gateway Facility is required. Combox has been out of support for at least 3 years now.

Note: Please note that InsightHome or InsightFacility is required to commission the XW Pro.

Note: XW Pro is not compatible with Conext ComBox. InsightHome and InsightFacility Edge Devices is used for the monitoring, commission, and configuration of the XW Pro.

Schneider still has all info and data on their website for discontinued products.

One of the top 3 reasons combox was discontinued is

Security Notification – Schneider Electric is aware of a vulnerability in its Conext™ ComBox product. Please read this document for further information. Due to product limitations a firmware update will not be provided. We strongly recommend customers to consider upgrading to InsightHome or InsightFacility.

Use the link below and you will find the maps under technical publications. Hurricane headed your way?
