OpticsRE and intermittent internet

We live in a remote area.  We use our phones as wireless hotspots for internet, so wifi isn't always on 24/7.  How does this effect performance and data transfer of opticsRE?  I see that the Mate3s has a slot for an SD card, and you can offload csv files.  Can I either upload the files to opticsRE periodically?  Can it do its own data dump/upload when wifi is available?

It will be spotty to dead, depending on how bad it really is. The Schneider program Insight was recently upgraded to be more efficient  using a cell system. You probably should get on the outback user forum and ask there.
