NEC 2014 Rapid Shutdown--Sunspec at start and end of array

Would a Sunspec module on the first and last panel of an array meet 2014? Rather than rapid shutdown modules on all panels. Any safety issues? Sunspec transmitter would be the latest SMA 5 kw inverter.

did you ever figgure this out?? Sure would make it a lot cheaper. If you have to put on every single panel and they go bad 10 years latter, what a pain in the butt it would be to remove panels and replace the units.
