Communicating with Cotek SD 1500-124 through the RJ11- RS232

Hello, I am trying to change settings on my inverter using the RJ11. I tried using putty and realterm. but ever time i send a command I do not receive anything back. Has anyone tried this already? any help would be appreciated thank you.

    Have you figure this out? I am having the same issue I want to set function 13 to be #3 but I get nothing out of the rs232 with my PC plugged in to with a RJ11 cable made base off the instructions in the user guide.
