Hi Guys & Girls,

Can anyone help. Im trying to find evidence that standard MC4's wont fit 6mm cable. If fitted it will result in Riso faults, loss of generation etc.
Reason being using a standard MC4 your unable to tighten the gland up fully, if tightened to much it cross threads making the ingress of water even more so.

Can anyone help me find evidence of this or knows where to point me in the right direction?

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Hello Yoz..,

The specifications for cable size capabilities could vary by the manufacturer of the connector.   Some connectors may not exactly meet the general specification.

    Found this on the Net:
    https://www.windynation.com/cm/MC4 Connectors.pdf

It does state the 6 MM cable is within the capability of MC4 connectors.
