We use almost all electric for solar hot water, tea and coffee & convection cooking, and a heat pump in 3/4 of the year. In the winter we use a propane for a range, water heating, and a wood stove when the sun power is reduced. We have a convection toaster oven outside on the deck and one in the house depending on how hot it is. Our propane and firewood usage is down over 50%. You do need the solar power to do this or you will cycle your batteries. Good Luck!"we go where power lines don't" Sierra Nevada mountain area
