Outback Skybox?

Anyone have any early info on the Outback Skybox?  I thought their approach of "add batteries later" was interesting but I'm not sure how they would make that work.  48 volt battery?  400 volt battery?  (hard to do in lead-acid)  Total power rating?

    Skybox is an all in one approach meant for advanced batteries. The inverter/ charger is hi voltage and it's mppt in the same box is also.
    The one I heard about was 6 to 8 KW.  It is still in beta development.

    Off grid.
     Temporary system while i build house 
    8.5 kw pv, 70kwh's tesla model S batteries, 4548 xantrex 
    2 60A xw cc 1 80A outback cc. 25kw diesel gen 
    Looking at skybox for 20kw ac 18.5kw dc pv when done

    It should be soon but my contact says hold-on!  It is 6KW and dual hiV mppt and will run 48vdc for sure. All comms in the skybox so it should be easy to install.

    Is there a big enough difference between it and currently available tech to be worth waiting for, or is the price so much lower than what's available to make it worth waiting for?
    Is it the same outback skybox already being sold online?

    Are you going to recommend this on 16kw+ a day systems? 2-5000 watt arrays @48 system?

    Lots of questions concerning it still.  Will this be stackable/parallelable?  How will you handle 1 battery bank/2 inverters?  Will there be a minimum battery size?  Will it integrate with BMSes for LiFePO4?  Hard to recommend things without all the info.

    Next year, the answers from Outback, but I do know a guy doing field testing with an LG RESU series.

    I don't recommend anything except general knowledge. My Grandfather taught me,
    Always help people with general questions and bill for specific questions/knowledge and design.
