help with outback inverter/charger

I recently acquired some spare solar parts and want to know of they are compatible. I have 2 of those batteries. They are 6v each. I see in the diagram how to hook up the batteries and panels. I read something about 24vs on the inverter/charger so thought maybe the batteries weren't enough.

Also another quick question. I see how the inverter works but how does the charger work? Of both batteries and solar panels are on the same side? As in no input/output like I would imagine a charger has.

All than I see is fx03692. I believe it is "fx series". I ask about the voltage because it is stamped 24v. So my battery bank should be 24v also, correct?

ALL the info is in that Pic.... it's an FX 2024 120 V 60 Hz Model of that line of Inverter/Charger.... so it is 24V and produces/outputs 2000W at 120V so about 83 amps max to get full out put and it will also charge your batteries if the grid or a generator is used...

You did not mention what you are going to use for PV/solar panels nor anything about the Charge Controller...

you will need 2 more of those batteries (6V) to assemble a 24V (nominal) battery bank...

FX 3692 is its serial number

Oh, and that whiteish elliptical shaped thing at the bottom of the pic is a MATE, which is used to program specialty settings for charging......

I'm piecing this together. For panels, I have 4 24v panels totalin 1.14kw.

I also have an additional 2 12v panels, 185w each.

Will having 2 new battery together with the 2 I already have cause a problem? Mixing used and new batteries?

Thank you for the help. I'm am off the grid so I would use a generator to charge if needed
