I've been tinkering with some LED lights on a 25 watt solar panel and will be upgrading to a much larger panel etc...in the spring. Since I had a few old car batteries we didn't use I've been using them. Well I thought while I was out yesterday I'd browse the batteries at the local Wallymart. I wasn't buying just looking. Saw something I liked- a deep cycle Maxx battery and it was the biggest they had lol....Well I learned here to always check the date on the battery and believe it or not that battery and the one behind it was a year old! I think it had a 5 year warranty and 3 year replacement which sounded good. I was really surprised to see a battery that old on the shelf. All the others were only 2 months old. When you read through all these posts and tips you learn a lot. I imagine some guy with a boat will buy that battery and get a boat anchor this spring lol
