I'd like to convert my 3 phase AC windmill to DC.

Specs are Windmill output 24 V ac 3 phase max 60 amps
battery bank is 24 volts DC.

    You will need a three phase bridge rectifier.  You can make one quite easily using diodes and heat sinks off ebay.  Thats what I did.  Ill try to dig up a picture of mine, its around here somewhere.........

    Or just order a Midnite Solar Classic 250 and clipper (or just their bridge rectifier and breakers).  I'm really satisfied with my Classic and Clipper on a Bergey XL1
