12v battery charge set up

Hello, I am looking to set up a simple system (if possible!) to charge a 12v battery used on my RV. Was thinking of having one battery hooked up to an array to charge while we used the other to run the basics in our camper. The array would be portable, and would be set up where the most sun is available. I would simply switch out the batteries, replacing the depleted one with the newly charged one, and then putting the depleted one on the charge system.


I am still trying to figure out our power usage, but a few lights (LED), water pump, fridge fan, maybe the radio would probably be it.

I was looking at acquiring 2 145 WATTS POLYCRYSTALLINE SOLAR PANEL and a 12V/24V 30A INTELLIGENT SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLER. Here in good old CDN, that DIY set up would run me some $500.00.

Would also like to be able to increase capacity should I change up the battery system to 4 12 V or 2 6V to be able to run more stuff longer.

As I read here ...the more I read the more confused I get.

Does this set up make any sense? Am I an the right track?
