installing inverter breaker

Hey all, just got my 50a breaker for the inverter yesterday and now want to install it into the existing, up and running system. Is there a preferred way to do this with what needs to be disconnected in what order, or would I be fine with just disconnecting the positive leads from the battery? This is a competely off grid system.

    Off grid, pv and any charging first then battery. bring back up the opposite way with the battery first.
