Over 20 yrs. ago my engineering partner and myself embraced the idea and thought this would have already been common place by now. I can see this mini-grid approach expanding into the future.

    My prior employer had mini grid set up in an industrial park in VT. They got several patents on the details.

    they aren't a mini grid if they are still connected to the grid to sell their excess power.
