The required surface area calculation for PV modules

This post is illustrating the required surface area for PV modules depending of it's KWH and daily solar insolations.

The energy of the system is 97 kwh.

The module sizing is based on the month of January with the lowest daily solar
insolation. By using the next equation we can find the PV area (m^2) :

PV Area = 36.4 m ^2

By adding 30% surface area to the original PV area taking in the account the
mounting system , safety and maintenance factors :

Total PV Area = 47.4 m^2
