Hi first time on a forum. Stamped on wind turbine label 24volt Dc 3 phase. Why is every body saying it is Ac power? Confused? ! Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum Derek.

Well I'm confused too because DC doesn't have phases, only AC does.
How many wires come from the turbine? If it's three (not including grounding connection) then it's probably 3 phase AC. If it's two (not including grounding connection) then it's probably 24 Volts DC.

Another possibility is that it's a 3 phase alternator internally designed to connect to a 24 Volt DC system.

That would most likely be a three phase alternator with a six diode bridge connected internally to the generator. That would give you a DC output with relatively low AC ripple compared to a single phase alternator connected through a four diode bridge.
You will probably still need a charge controller and load bank designed for the combination of wind and battery charging. Or it might include a charge controller and load dump in the package (not very likely.)

    Very simple wiring diagram:

Note that the "field" winding and slip rings are usually replaced by very strong "rare earth" magnets in the "rotating" hub (rotor) for wind turbines... It is much more energy efficient.

The three phase AC power goes through the 6 diodes and becomes rectified DC power that can be used to charge the battery/run your DC loads.
