hi everyone, we have a xantrex 3624 inverter using 6v gel, when we first installed them we noticed the batteries would charge to 100% now they charge to 60 % and the inverter stops charging.
is there something that needs to be adjusted?

Gels are bad news for solar applications.

They are easily abused if you charge them faster than a C/20 rate, and must have a much lower absorb voltage setpoint than flooded or agm. Typically you end up putting voids in the gel when abused, capacity is lowered, they need to be charged slowly (relative to flooded or agm) and basically describes what may be going on at your place.

I think your batteries are toast, but it would be interesting to see what rate and voltage you are charging them at now just to confirm.

If anything, I'd say that flooded or agm would be the best upgrade path.

What is being used to measure the SOC?
