Aloha, where is the best deal on a modified-sine inverter? I have 2 from theinverterstore.com 24V 5000W at $499.00 each, but I am not too happy with them. (I know you get what you pay for). I just need a down and dirty 4-6kWatt unit to run power tools and maybe get another as a backup.

i would recommend for power tools the use of a sinewave inverter as a modsine if it doesn't blowup your tools/reduce tool lifespans, then it will often use more power than necessary. they do cost more, but you will be getting something that you won't have to come back here and ask, "now what do i buy?" as long as you size it for the highest power you'll need.
