Comparison of aerodynamic analysis methods

Good afternoon everybody!
I am new to the field, currently studying on wind and wave energy technologies and I would like your help in order to have an overall image of the field in the area of aerodynamic analysis methods.
So, my question is the following:
Which are the advantages and disadvantages (limitations) of the blade element momentum theory, the lifting line theory and the boundary element theory(panel method)?
