Battery switch noob question.

I have a Blue Sea battery switch. It is a 350 amp switch at 32 volts. The dumb question is can I use it on a 48 volt system if it is not switched under load with no chance of arching?

    Im no real fan of those plastic battery swithces, heard too many storys of them melting under moderate sustained loads.

    For only a few bucks more get carling breakers and call it good.

    Current at the time of disconnect is irrelevant to interrupting Voltage. The Blue Sea switches are not suited to 48 Volt systems.

    But they do not melt under moderate loads. Although there are cheaper switches of similar type which could.

    On a 48 Volt system spend the money and get the proper breakers as zoneblue said.
