Interesting product announced by Meanwell. A 500 watt sine wave inverter with an integrated MPPT charger. It comes in both 120 and 240 volt flavors and can support 12, 24 or 48 volt batteries (all different part numbers.) The 48 volt version will support up to 160 volts PV in at 500 watts. Looks like it's going to run around $200.

    Such products already exist from other manufacturers, complete with limitations that make them less than desirable. Judging by the announced price of this latest edition there is no chance it will be any good. You simply can not put in the versatility of function for that little money. Ask any of the guys on the forum who actually design this type of equipment.
