Trimetric + FlexNet DC = two shunts?

Hello,
This may seem like a silly question, but does one need two shunts to connect two battery monitors or can they both be connected to one shunt?

The trimetric and flexnet are high resistance voltmeters that read the voltage across the shunt. They can both read the same shunt.
