    Because your panels have Vmp~29.8 volts (stc)... You will have to put the two panels in series (Vmp~59.6 volts for the array). Your 29.8 volt panels will output Vmp~24 volt in hot weather--Way to low of voltage to charge a 24 volt battery bank which needs ~29 volts charging plus 1-2 volts for controller+wiring voltage drop.

    The MPPT controller will efficiently down convert from the array voltage/current to the battery voltage/current (at ~95% efficiency).

    Ok, I would like to thank everyone on here for the help and knowledge that I have learned. Now all that I have to do is get out of all this snow and ice and go south for the rest of the winter. Need to get the snow and ice off the roof of my trailer so I can hook up the panels. I maybe back to ask more questions.
