    I think a lot more people will be going off-grid if LENR (low energy nuclear reactions) turns out to be real. I'm also hoping lead-acid batteries would get replaced by fuel cells - charging splits the water, discharge recombines the hydrogen/oxygen -- at least the hydrogen would be closed-loop.
