I would like to build a dump control for my small home made wind turbine, Does anyone have a design for one. I want to use a 300w 12v heater for the dump. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Is there a reason you want to build one rather than just buying one?
Because you could pick up a used Xantrex C35 for about $100 on ebay and that will do everything you need.

I like 'projects' myself, but that just seems like a lot of work reinventing the wheel for something that is commercially available for so little money.

A used C35 from E-Bay for $100 would be a rotten deal: they're less than that new.

I was just guessing on a price, but wow, prices have come down a lot since I bought my first one 8 years ago!

Tell me about it: my MX60 was $900! Now you can buy a MidNite Classic for a bit more than half that.

But if you wait for the lowest price fare you may miss the train altogether. :p
